These work very well in my vintage vacuum cleaners, and are certainly a brighter upgrade. Easy to install as well. I'm guessing they will last much longer, being LED's, but that remains to be seen. I think they're a little pricey for what they are, but good nonetheless.
I loved the brightness of the bulbs....a welcome change from the low lighting in my vintage machines. They arrived quickly and the price was very reasonable. I did have a problem that one would not fit in my Singer Featherweight and the company responded immediately without any problem. I appreciate good customer service and I will definitely order again from them?
Using these in fiber optic decorations. Replaced halogen bulbs with ease. Time will tell if they hold up and last. Cost says they need to get about 5 times the life of the old halogen bulbs. Only run them during December. So we will see over the next 7-8 years. Lol.
These buggers are sturdy. The seller packaged them in easy to open blister pack which was inserted in a snug sealed electronics ziplock type bag so they survived Amazon shipping it in a huge box with a heavy wood chisel bouncing around in the same box.Thanks to the reviewers who pointed out this WHITE LIGHT is the best for sewing.
Picked up a couple of these to replace the tiny halogen bulbs in my Halloween fake-flame cauldrons made by Gemmy. These fit perfectly and actually gave off better light than the original bulbs. Wish the price was a little less as they seem a bit steep for what they are but you get that with all LED lights I suppose - just paying for the convenience of never having to replace them again.
I bought these bulbs for my singer featherweight last year. 1 bulb blew already but I love the light so much I bought again. Compared to the old hot bulbs these are far better and far less expensive.
Like many others, I bought these for my vintage sewing machines. These particular bulbs are longer than the other LED bulbs I have purchased in the past, but that was not an issue whatsoever. They are high-quality and very bright. If you are a vintage sewing machine enthusiast as I am, do yourself a favor and try them out. You will not be disappointed.
The bulbs dimmed out within 1000 hours. Rated for 30000. (3% of rated hours.)UPDATE: The replacement bulbs are holding the rated level. Only 2 bulbs had been bad so far.
Before ordering I was concerned that most of the light would be off the sides and not out the bottom like I needed. After the product arrived I was amazed at how much light there was all around the sewing area. The color of the light and the lack of heat (of a normal bulb) was amazing. I ordered this set and tried it today on one overlock machine. Now I will install them on all our overlock machines in our Alterations shop tomorrow. The best part (besides the amazing light) is that we will not be replacing these lights every 6 months because of vibration failues we have had with normal bulbs.
These LED lights do work beautifully in all my vintage sewing machines—all are Singers but I think the sockets were standard throughout the vintage sewing machine industry. I had tried other LEDs but they do not match up the shape of the bayonet which are oval on my Singers. A set of four bulbs was nice; allowed me to change out my most used vintage machine bulbs for a much brighter light to sew by.
Purchased a vintage Royal upright with burnt out bulb. This bulb is an amazing upgrade, I have been a big fan of LED lights for years, this one outshines the former old fashioned bulb many times over, it is projected to last a long time, we'll see, they look very well made.
These little LED light bulbs work so well in my machine. The light on my machine is in the verticle position and it is therefore important that there be a diode on the very end of the bulb so there is light shining down. These bulbs have that feature and light my sewing area very well. I also have a machine with the bulb in the horizontal position and the light is wonderful there also. I had purchased one LED bulb at a big box store and paid almost the same price for it as I did for 4 of these. That bulb did not have the diode on the end and did not provide adequate light for me to sew.I will definitely purchase these again when I need new bulbs!
These are much longer than their halogen equivalents, so check that they will fit before ordering! In my case (kitchen table chandelier), the LED bulb actually touches the screen below the bulb, but it is ok. The color and brightness are perfect. Dimming works. We'll see how long it lasts (but we have a replacement since this was a 2-pack).
I've a gaggle of sewing machines, and as soon as these arrived I installed one of these babies. it didn't take long to upgrade three more. I just placed an order for another four. That should hold me for a while - until I have more sewing machines, that is. It's just so nice to have efficient lights that you can't burn your fingertips on. And they fit all my Singers made from 1928 through the 60's, as well as a couple of vintage Pfaffs.
1) If your light cover is completely intact and not melted away/broke off like mine is, you may never be able to get the bulb out w/out disassembling your machine! Mine is a very tight fit and I have to push hard to get the bulb up into the head. To pull it back down I have to actually stick my fingers around the bulb and push in towards the socket a little bit. This isn't an issue because this bulb will probably last... forever. A solution is to pull the bulb holder out and cut off 1/2 of the bulb lens. It just blocks light and since this is LED it doesn't get very hot, so you won't get burnt.2) Very bright. Hurts your eyes when you look directly at it.Based on the price, I am still giving a 5 star, but I think with some luck, it fits for my situation.
Had trouble replacing the bulb in Pfaff sewing machine. The contacts on the bulb were too long to insert into place. I needed to file off the contacts a small amount to match Pfaff bulb to insert bulb into socket, works fine and makes a great lite to sew by. I have serviced sewing machines for 60 years and I will continue to use this bulb for replacement It makes a great replacement, brighter light and does not get hot to burn you hands while sewing. I recommend this bulb for sewing.
These LED light bulbs are a fantastic replacement for those 15T7DC/130V-7HDTWN heavy-duty incandescent bulbs used in vacuum cleaner powerheads, like my two Sears Kenmore units. Instead, purchase four of these LED bulbs for less money and have more light in your vacuum (and they last almost forever too). Don't cheap out and try to use a regular non HD bulb in the powerhead, they will burn out in minutes as soon as you smack the powerhead into some furniture. Instead, use this bulb which is not affected by this type of rough use. Highly recommended!
Nicely packaged. I bought this for a desk lamp to replace a 100-watt halogen bulb that died. It is not as bright as the halogen, but considering the lower wattage it is excellent (I know it doesn't claim to replace 100w and I didn't expect it to). Anyways, this LED is just fine for my needs. The halogen bulb was actually too bright, and way too hot! This LED gets warm but nothing like the scalding hot old bulb. My entire lamp housing used to be burning hot. Now it is cool to the touch and much safer. I got the warm white color LED and it compares to a traditional bulb in color. I debated on getting the cool or warm white. The warm is easy on the eyes and matches my other lighting so it will do. I'm only giving four stars at this time since I just got it and I don't know the reliability or durability yet.
I got this for my vintage Singer 201 sewing machine, hoping that it wouldn't be too long since some of the LED lights are. These are in fact the same length as the incandescent bulbs, so it fit with room to spare. The light is considerably brighter than the incandescent was, and the daylight color is really nice to have when sewing! They should fit any sewing machine (or other item) that fit a standard incandescent bulb of this type. If I have any problems with the bulbs I will update this review, but for now they are a solid five stars.Update: the one in my Singer 201 has gotten a lot of use and has held up well so far. I just installed another bulb in my Singer 401A and it also fit and works great. The brightness and color made it much easier to sew my jelly roll rug! I've attached a pic of it installed.Update 2: Just got a 301A and installed another one of these bulbs. Fits/works great. All bulbs are still working as expected.Update 3: Tried one in my Featherweight and it works great.

Perfect replacement for a '70's Italian-built Singer 257 sewing machine. Vastly improved brightness with great reduction in heat. These LEDS save 66% on energy...For our vacuum cleaners with "headlights", these LED bulbs are much brighter than standard 15 watt filament bulb. And those bulb filaments break quickly from bumping, etc.Filament bulbs are $3+ on Amazon. Getting four LED bulbs for $12.99 = $3.25 each is a bargain.Plus the bulb manufacturer (ZSZT) includes a guarantee card good for 1-year. I’ll update this review should I discover any longevity issues…
