Held up really well even while repeatedly rinsing substrate in it in my tub. Didn’t spring any leaks. The pump is a bit strong for small fish, and the remote lost some function. I can’t get the color changing lights to work on the remote any more, but otherwise it is fantastic.

Clean lines, the bow front makes it look a couple gallons bigger than it really is. Easy to assemble, innovative filter design and the remote color control has really made it beautiful, with so many selections available.

This has a nice view it’s clean good-looking not a lot of room in the back but enough for what is needed if I could do it again I would buy the 15 gallon not the 9 gallon

I already had the 15G decided to add the 9G and will be obtaining the 32.5 G next...I did alter the way the filter works in my 15 G and did the same to the 9 G...Only thing I wish is that the light worked with the Fluval Bluetooth APP...

Very nice tank. I was looking for something that was small enough to fit on my counter top but had more room for the fish to move around. It’s just what I was looking for. It is a little on the pricey side but after trying several tanks I have come to realize that you get what you pay for. This one will last for a while.

Love this aquarium. Kids love the changing lights, I like the high quality filtration system and strong LED lights for live plants.Water flow is STRONG and there's no way to adjust it. Only downsize. I've had to hide it behind many plants to make our Betta happy.

There isn't anything I don't love about this aquarium. Very classy and sleek look. Got it for my first Betta and planted with live plants then cycled it. He loves it. Put a sponge over one of the outlets to lower the current and he has no problem swimming all over it.

When I turned the lights on they would not stop flickering. The plugin for the light provided was not strong enough, and thankfully we had a stronger plug in that put out more amperage. A great tank, the only downfall is you may need to replace the main power supply. (Which is very easy because there is an adapter)

Works well. No leaks and the design is unique. I have 4 small fish and 2 snails in the tank. i didn't trick out the tank. I placed a small house and some plant balls. I change about 20% of the water each week. Fish seem happy are zipping around. I do use the fluval water conditioner. not sure if it helps but it certainly doesn't hurt.

honestly,i got this tank not knowing what to expect.at first i was a little cautious.but after i had had it for a few days i realized the tank was absolutely perfect. a few months ago i got a betta and he was really stressed and didn't have much color, but now that he is in his new tank he loves it his color is returning and he is moving around more. the three stage filtration is phenomenal.it keeps the tank crystal clear. the light is great for low to medium light level plants.this tank is the best choice ive made so far!

Easy to set up since I am very familiar, and fond of Fluval products. Set it up with plants, and it looks amazing so far as you can tell by the plants. Is in middle of cycling, and waiting to add fish very soon. Good filtration, and, I love the extra chamber to add addition filter media. Can’t wait to ad the fish.

Great tank, love how it has the space for the heater, pump and filters attached to the back so you don't have all this extra equipment in the main tank itself. Is a very aesthetically pleasing tank when filled and brought to life with real plants and plenty of fish!

We got a goldfish from the fair 😐 and my best friend, who is a fish enthusiasts, would not let me kill it so I bought this tank and the fish died. Being a first-time fish owner with a fish that came from the fair, the death of that goldfish was almost certain anyways but we have since purchased another fish who is very happy in this tank. It is small but still a good size for one or two small fish. I like the small opening on the lid that allows for easy feeding, the filtration system seems to work just fine oh, and my son enjoys the various color options that come on aquarium light's remote.

I was raised in a fish keeping family. Kept freshwater fish for 60 years now. I usually have my tanks custom built. I needed a quarantine\hospital tank fast. I looked around and found this one. I bought the stand, substrate and heater amazon sells with it. Arrived in 2 days. I set it up in a day. I added filter bags from my main tank to the filter it comes with and took 100% of the water from the main tank. Set the thermostat and let it run. Water cleared in 2 hours. A week later I added plants and snails. All are doing fine. Plants are growing and snails are controlling the algae. Perfectly balanced LED lighting system for a nano planted tank! People say it is fragile. Glass is thing and it looks fragile but how many of us pick up our tanks and toss them around. I would avoid this tank if you are going to do that. For the other 90% of us and for noobs this tank is a dream come true. Instant tank with very little hassle. Great design and engineering of hood and integrated filter systems. If you are starting from scratch without an existing tank you will need to get a filter bag to fill with biological media and another for Charcoal. Remove these when medicating fish. When the fish is done being treated remove and do two 50% water changes and add the bags back in. Fuval and SeaChem make great biological starter products. Cycle at least 2 weeks before adding plants.

This replaced an Aqueon 5 gal mini bow tank that sat on my kitchen counter. Even though it holds 80% more water, it's footprint and apparent size is only a little bigger (I have them side-by-side in the picture for comparison). The filtration system is great. I always had an issue with a film on the water's surface before but now the water stays crystal clear and there is no film since the design draws water from near the bottom and an overflow at the top. The issue with animals getting into the filter, that prior purchasers mentioned, has been solved as the current model has guards with smaller holes over the filter inlets. I fill the leftmost chamber at the back of the tank with filter floss which provides great mechanical filtration and increases the size of the biological filter. The lights are very bright at full intensity but can be dimmed. For me, the colored lights and lightning storm settings are really just a novelty but it does have the capability to have white light and a color on at the same time which does make the white lite softer. Because the lid is so close to the water's surface, there is a lot of splashing onto the light but the lights seem to be very well sealed and there have been no issues. I am using the Pm0606 Brand Micro Oxygen Bubble Diffuser Air Stone and the Tetra Whisper Air Pump 20 and the hole in the lid for feeding allows tiny splashes of water to come out (like a full glass of a carbonated beverage). I am using the Fish Mate F14 feeder, which I modified with a plastic tube to serve the same purpose as a feeding ring, over the feeding hole. Laying a small piece of silicon rubber over the remaining feeding hole opening or turning down the airflow solved the slashing problem. I have had the tank for about 2 weeks now and contrary to what I have read on forums, a small tank can cycle. I have been testing the water daily with the API Freshwater Master Test Kit and ammonia and nitrite have remained zero while nitrate is now detectable at about 5 ppm. The fact that this small a tank is cycling may be due to my use of CaribSea Eco-Complete substrate and the floss in the first filter chamber which makes for a larger biological filter. I will update my review in a few months.

This is our homes 3rd fluval tank and we couldn't be happier. We started with the fluval chi, then got a fluval spec and now the flex. The curved front glass gives a wider view on your tank, fish and plants. The option to have the heater in the back by the pump further reduces cords and unsightly items in the viewable tank area. We also love the option to add filters in the back. We had an ammonia problem when we first started the tank because of some wood pieces that weren't totally soaked yet. We added a second stage filter and the peat moss pellets to clear out the heavy metals and ammonia in the tank.Warning, we have some small danio glofish in this tank and when we first put them in, they liked to swim through the filter slats and hide in the back. We through we somehow had fish die or were missing fish and they had just snuck in the back.
