Farmers this product is very...very good... Get it as soon as possible.
very nice. liked a whole lot
The electrolytes were fine. The package had a small hole so some of the powder spilled out. It was a very small tear so fortunately not much was List.
my chickens have never been sick. never had chickens so don't know if that's uncommon. but they like their water even after mixing this in.
Helped our chickens very much when they had avian pox and the weather was hot. They drank their water just fine even with the product in and it perked them up. They're well and happy now! We use it now whenever the weather gets really hot.
Highly recommend to all chicken keepers! I've had some illnesses in my new birds and this suff makes all the difference in their recovery. Dissolves easily and the chickens are happy to drink it. I will be buying more.
This is a great product. I use this as directed. Its for all animals. I got it mainly for ducks n chickens.
I had some chicks that needed a boost. This pulled them through. I loved it!It is for multi species, so very handy to keep around.
Seems to keep my chickens and other waterfowl very well hydrated and healthy! Extremely satisfied and highly recommend to anyone.
The only problem I had was the instructions were difficult for small dosing and the pouch couldn't be re sealed to keep out moisture if not using all at once. The chickens drank it well and seemed to become healthier.
This was the cheapest I've seen eloctrolyes same brand as the ones in a pet store.. 60% less money. Great value
I have a flock of 7 chickens and I am putting this in the water. I been using it for 2 months they are laying down more eggs but I think is else the change in grane (better mix)
My chicks seem to love their electrolyte water, however, the instructions are quite difficult to understand, and I recommend looking at the Durvet website for clearer dilution directions.
One of my hens had lost weight and looked terribly dehydrated after a bout with coccidia. I replaced her normal water supply with water + concentrate and she was back to her old fluffy self in about a week.
It's great to know that my ducks are getting their vitamins. I just simply add less than a teaspoon in a gallon of water and they are doing good. It's hard to find quality vitamins and this product has the vitamins they need as far as I'm concerned.
Using this with new chicks for first 2-3 weeks. Figured out that you need just a shade under a 1/4 teaspoon to a gallon of water. After the stress of shipping this is a wonderful start to keep chicks healthy. To date, I have not lost 1 chick. I feed all of my poultry organic soybean and corn free grain, and let them free range. However, with juvenile and older I would give this once a month for maintenance.
Huge savings over the small packets in stores!! Mine does have a few larger black granules of some sort in it. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is I’m not sure if they’re supposed to be in there and useful when mixed as a large batch, or just debris (if this is the case let me know and I’ll change to 5 stars). I’m using the pouch 1 gallon at a time. Still very satisfied and so are my chickens, ducks, and goose. Thanks!!
We've had extremely high temperatures since early June and this is our first year with backyard chickens.I purchased some of the SAV-A-CHICK strips from a local store after learning that you shouldn't add vinegar to their water during extreme heat because it can reduce their ability to absorb calcium.I've been adding a quarter tsp to their drinking water each day this summer unless we're experiencing cooler temperatures.Very economical solution. Much cheaper than purchasing the product I was using before finding this one. With only 6 hens, a 4 oz bag of this will last a long time. They have a 2 gallon water bucket with 4 horizontal nipples, but I only mix about a gallon of water in it and add ice cubes and frozen bottles of water to keep it cool longer. Fresh water each day and most days I add ice and a new bottle of frozen water in the late afternoon. Once the temperatures cool down I'll just add apple cider vinegar to their daily bucket of water. This economical powder dissolves very easily and is keeping my chickens healthy during their first, extremely hot summer.
This packet makes 55 gallons of electrolyte water. I used it for two straight weeks on chicks that I ordered from a hatchery to give them a good start. You don't need to mix up all of it at a time. I just mixed what I needed each day, and clipped the packet closed to keep the powder fresh. The package indicates this is a good choice for other animals as well. My experience is for use with chickens, and for that purpose, I give it 5 stars. I will order this product every time I get new birds.
